Economy by Design
Our timber frame houses are built on the premise that economical construction is not only sensible, safe and aesthetically pleasing, but also environmentally friendly.

Our houses are built with 24' x 14' bays. A Standard Plan features three bays, practical for a two-story, three-bedroom house. The frame is modular in nature. This shortens the construction time and makes it easy to add or subtract a segment while keeping structural integrity and staying within budget.

This multi-bay design is extremely economical because it eliminates scrap. We use the highest quality materials in standardized sizes, maintaining true to the design of traditional timber frame structures without producing waste. The resulting savings allow us to use the highest quality exterior and interior materials and components and the latest energy-saving mechanical systems. For example, we use vertical cedar siding and casement windows that frame mountain views in the distance.

We concentrate on one Standard Plan with a few practical options. This approach helps maximize quality and reduce costs.

Optional Side Wing Additions

Side Wings
As an option in a typical house, any bay may have wings added on either side for an entry, a room extension or a porch.
