Alex Shamson Painting is a deeply spiritual process for Alex. While a picture is being painted it is truly alive. At its inception it's just an idea - a vision inspired by nature: mountains, trees, water, weather, light, smells, sounds. With the first brush stoke it is born. Like a living organism the image grows and develops. Paint moves with live energy as it blends together smoothly into the background or as it erupts with bold repeating strokes, in a staccato rhythm. Creating something out of nothing is a powerful experience for Alex. "When I paint, I feel as if I communicate in the same language as God, because we are engaged in a similar creative effort...
